Laser Cutting at Croy GmbH

Laser cutting is a precise cutting process with a repeatability of 0.1mm, providing the basis for dimensionally accurate, reproducible metal components. It enables cost-effective production of components from a batch size of just one.

Bystronic laser with automated material storage for high cutting quality and flexibility

For laser cutting, we use a high-performance Bystronic laser with 4.4 kW of laser power and a working area of 4000 x 2000 mm. This system can cut steel and stainless steel sheet up to 20 mm thick and aluminium sheet up to 10 mm thick. This technology produces clean cut edges, even on complex contours.

For further quality improvements, components can be finished on the deburring machine upon request. This step gives surfaces a uniform appearance, removes sharp edges and improves the feel.

Advantages of laser cutting in industrial manufacturing

Manufacture of components starting from a batch size of one, ideal for prototypes and short lead times

No additional tooling costs

Low setup costs

Components can be engraved, for example with part numbers

Creating precise contours with a repeatability of 0.1mm forms the basis for accurate bent parts and welded assemblies
